With our economy at a critical juncture, our country mired in someone else's messy civil war, etc. ... things like what some random shock jock says, whether or not cigarettes are sold in certain stores, steroid use in baseball, and what Rachael Ray wears in a donut ad, THESE are the truly big issues that America needs to deal with? Unfortunately, there's too many retards out there who would say yes.

Like Geraldo, Like Courric (much more subtle, working with approving or disapproving intonations the annoying overpaid twit), like Wolfe....they all thrive on whatever injects them into the story and thus detract from the very rationale for watching the news.

I think DeNiro is a B movie actor in this role if not for Scorcese and most importantly Schrader putting out some powerful lines. But....we pay DeNiro a ton and no one knows Paul Schrader wrote the gem and made it what it was with Scorcese's tweaks.
O'Reilly writes his own stuff. Olberman writes his own stuff. They don't do news, they discuss it. A stark difference no one cares about anymore as far as these high priests of trash TV news. (which sadly even BBCA is now so we have BloombergTV and few others)
