Pretty much he fired Nonis because we didn't make the playoffs, simple as that. So the next GM will just have to make the playoffs, doesn’t matter about anything else. I can't believe this.

Honestly, Aquilini sounds like an idiot. Really sounds like a pretender. I am very concerned now for the future of this franchise - I don't think the ownership could attract the best and brightest out there.
BS. He's saying 'we didn't make the playoffs and that's the bottom line' for many times, yet when asked about why he fired him, is it just because of the playoffs, he stumbles out a lame answer in 'oh it's because we had a review and looked at what we had in terms of long term future', which is what Nonis built in terms of the prospect pool. Complete bush league.
And what's worse? They just started looking at new management - meaning that this is VERY knee-jerk. Bloody hell.
