OK, I don't get to watch many games living in Ohio, and I didn't realize Draper didn't play last night either, I remember hearing Downey had the flu.

Yep, but he's been on the ice with Maltby for three goals and Malts and Drake for two goals.

Yeah baby, Dats to Franzen...
Freaking Samuelsson trying to dangle through the zone, and gives it up for a rush the other way.

Franzen...a definite bright spot while Cleary and Homer have been out. It would be great to get production out of all three guys come playoff time.

The question remains, what lines do you put them on, and where do you put everyone else? We have waaaaay too many forwards that are NHL caliber...

Well if the Wings can string together 30 minutes of hockey they might make the game interesting.

All three guys go into the slot area in front of the net. Kopy's started to. Sammy
never will. That' at least one guy for each line, although I'd love to see a line of Cleary-Z-Mule. That would be pretty sweet.

I think you have to keep Franzen with Hank and then you reunite the Filppula-Datsyuk-Cleary line which was great when Hank was hurt. Homer can either be with Hank and Mule or put him on the third line and then use him on the power play. The team has a lot of guys capable of scoring 20 goals but I'd like to see more guys capable of scoring 30 or more. It's really just Hank and Pavel.

They got themselves a little breathing room. Until the Sharks are within 2 points of them, I wouldn't sweat just yet.

You think Holmstrom would work with Hudler and Samuelsson? Then have a 4th line of Maltby/Draper/McCarty?

I remember defending Franzen a few months ago when everyone was on his case and wondered why he knocked Hudler out of a top line spot. He has all the tools to be really good player and it's nice to see him put it all together.

So why does ESPN list the game as being on NBC and its PGA golf?
