Wolves Center Colton Fretter traded to Bridgeport

The Chicago Wolves have traded Colton Fretter the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for future considerations. I'll be interested to find out who the future considerations is/are.

As of mid-August, these were the players signed by Bridgeport to AHL contracts according to another threas in this forum. There was a lot of discussion on which goalies were signed by the Islanders versus Bridgeport, so this might not be the final disposition. Also, the thread dated back to September, so it is possible things have changed.

Bridgeport
F Justin Bourne
F Olivier Labelle
F Pascal Morency
G Maxime Ouellet
D Mark Wotton

Not really. Fretter was a frequent scratch for the Wolves. A victim of too many players, not enough spots. I honestly have no idea what he is capable of at an AHL level.

He was quite a scorer last year in the ECHL with the Gwinnett Gladiators. He set a Glads team record with 36 goals. He won the ECHL Rookie of the Year award despite being injured for 21 games. He was selected by the Thrashers in round 8 (#230 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, but he was never signed by Atlanta. He played NCAA hockey for MSU for four years.

he seems like he has potential to score, i can see how he didnt get to play often with the wolves, so deep for offense. here in bridgeport it's the total opposite, so maybe he can help us for the remainder of the season.
