Olé Olé Poll
Am I the only who thinks the Olé Olé chant is embarassing? Why do people that?
Not only do they do it when we win but they just do it randomly. They had one going in the first, and they had one in the middle of Gainey's ceremony.
Isn't it a soccer cheer, anyways? Why are we ripping off some other sports' cheer?
Am I the only one who's hugely embarassed when I hear Habs fan doing those cheers?

The fans pay for the tickets so in my book they have a right to chant Barry Manilow songs if they freakin feel like it!

Ya, I'd prefer if everyone would just shut up and watch in silence.
God, I hate those fans having fun while I'm watching the game on my sofa alone.

Haha, well I'm not against being loud, drunk, and rowdy, but why are we ripping off a soccer chant?
Okay, well maybe i'm the only one who feels this way. That's fine, haha.

Seeing how it upsets the other teams' fans, I really like it
Seriously, every Québécois likes to sing so, why not sing in our nationnal church, the Bell centre?

Fair enough. I just wanted to get an opinion from fans who are around it all the time.
I am from Ottawa so whenever they do that (especially when the game's not over or whatever), people ask me why the fans do that "stupid soccer cheer".
I obviously am the exception and I'm cool with that. (And am glad I now know
)

Have you and a group of friends every randomly broke out into a song at the wrong time?
You know, go to a friend's wedding and starting singing a song about how women cheat, or gone to a funeral and started singing that song by U2 that has.. "It's a beautiful day" in it?
Ole, ole ole ole, ole, ole.
What do you mean the game hasn't started yet?
Ole, ole ole ole
I know it's only 2 minutes into the game, but we have 3 shots!

And you have to realize that we are closer to Europ in terms of mentality than any other place in North America.

Yeah, thats for sure. We do have a lot of European influence over here. Our Petanque teams are known all over the world so are the Lawn Bowling teams.

I find it real cool and unique. Agreed it started in soccer, but it's now part of the Bell Centre atmosphere. Way better than watching in silence and sitting on our hands like in Ottawa, where people seems like they are embarassed to cheer.

I don't even know what Petanque is...
Apparently, I'm missing a lot out here in Ottawa.

Yes, the Scotiabank Atmosphere is embarassing in itself.
Going to the Bell Centre >>>>>> going to Scotiabank Place

Its a chant... If anything i think its wicked that we seem to be the only team in the league who's crowd gets like that of a soccer crowd. Makes for a good atmosphere in our home arena.... If only our home record reflected such cheering

I'd sing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" at hockey games if it annoyed other teams' fan bases (or even just Bruins fans) the way the Ole Ole song does.
