Seems like a nice deal for Phoenix value wise. I would have thought the Rangers could have gotten more for Montoya.

How does this deal help Phoenix? the only thing it does is give them some flexibility if Bryz decides to shoot for the moon on a contract down the road.
Now Montoya is stuck behind another goalie, and this just looks like two teams threw players at one another for no reason
