Would be nice to get a D-man that can hit besides Orpik.

He can also kills seconds on a stop watch w/ his skating ability... I don't think he fits the Pens system...

Gill's a solid Dman on a decent contract - he's a solid addition for the Pens, who really need some help on the backend. He'll probably slot in as the #4 defenseman for them.
As for the Leafs, with Colaiacovo healthy, Gill doesn't fit in the top-4 anymore, and it's not a good idea to be spending 2 mil on a bottom pair defender.
Hopefully the Leafs can manage to get a 2nd rounder for him.

is he at least good on the pk? i don't see how he can keep up with the rest of the team given his skating ability.

Then you might want to keep looking. Gill is not your guy.

He'll probably be on your first PK unit.

if he doesn't fit in the leafs top 4, a team that has given up 200 goals, im wondering how he helps the pens.

I would rather him trade for Todd Gill than Hal Gill.

I'd like this too, Gill blocks a ton of shots and though he has his faults he can kill penalties.
The Penguins are using Gonchar, Scuderi and Whitney as their top 3 PK defenseman. That needs an improvement.
