[COL/CBJ] Adam Foote for conditional 1st round pick + another conditional pick

as per tsn talks are under way. a draft pick is apparently on the way to the jackets.

if the deal goes down it is likely that the jackets will also deal fedorov and peca.

edit:

sportsnet is confirming the deal is done.

"I have been hearing that if indeed that Jakcets couldn't sign Foote the would be looking to deal Fedorov, Peca and possibly others because they don't think they will be able to beat the likely of Detroit. With regards to the Avs getting Forsberg and now Foote can the Avs really make a push for the cup?"

http://www.thehockeyherald.com/?p=728

the avs are barley in the playoffs though. i dont get it.

Cool, I guess. Will be fun to see the old guard play for the Avs once again.

You are jumping the gun BIG TIME. Just because talks are underway doesn't mean that a trade is even CLOSE.

Gosh, is this going to be a 2002-3 reunion? Might as well give them Skoula too.

Keep Skoula and Tanguay far far away, fire the coaching staff and bring back Roy as Head Coach, Bourque and Trottier as his assistants.

What's next Patty Roy coming out of retirement?

Sportsnet stats that the trade is valid.

TSN was saying that a pick is likely going back to the Blue Jackets.

They're getting the band back together!

Maybe they'll get Patrick Roy to come out of retirement too. Then they can all go on a reunion tour with The Stones
