Erik Ersberg, Manchester Monarchs

How's Erik Ersberg doing in Manchester Monarchs?

His stats are average, as it seems.

11 games
88,8%
3.05 goals/game

Do you think he will play in NHL next season or is a return to Europe more likely?

Pretty much reflective of his play. Not awful, not especially good. He's been out since he suffered a head injury after a battle in the crease, and might be battling a sore groin as well.

When Labarbera returns to the Kings, I would not be surprised to see Quick take Ersberg's spot in Manchester aside Cloutier and for Ersberg to be sent to Reading on a conditioning assignment, or be part of a Reading "rotation".

Depends on how he does for the rest of the season. I'm sure he's still in a period of adjustment, and if he plays a little better, it's always possible. Until that happens, I would bet against him receiving any significant playing time in the NHL.

With Clouts being put on a hold for 6 weeks, Erik should be the #1 goalie for the Monarchs.
We got to meet Erik last week at the Booster Club meeting. He is a great guy and we are hoping that he does really well. If last night's game is any indication it should be exciting.

Cloutier being shut down certainly has an effect on the numbers game now.

Ersberg looked fine last night considering the lay off. Hopefully LaBarbera is back soon....if nothing else than to save Quick from the Kings.

Yeah, Ersberg has been better lately, I've read about that... Good for him, but I still want him in my SEL team's roster next season

Ersberg is improving, that's for sure.

If Quick returns, I think it's more likely Taylor would return to Reading, leaving Quick, Ersberg, and Cloutier at the Monarchs. Which stinks because Cloutier couldn't stop a beach ball with a brick wall.

Ersberg seems to have a very inconsistent time in North America. I heard he's only a backup in AHL at the moment.
