Tiebreakers - From NHL.com
1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.

Wonder how many of the 5th liners will be dressed tonight, considering the apparent rationale behind the offseason was to matchup with the Ducks.

Razor just called the Ribeiro line the "top line" as well. The revolution is upon us.

yayayayay 2-0

great shift by that line, Barnes first misses the empty net, then a delayed penalty against the Ducks and Ribeiro scores

2-0 Ribeiro (Barnes, Boucher)

Y'know, I'd feel so much better if Modano found the scoresheet more than once every 4 games......he's headed towards another ugly season so far.

maybe the Ducks pull the goalie and Modano could get a point when the Stars score on an empty net ^.^

and just for the stats, Boucher's assist is off the 2nd goals and now Lundqvist has it

edit: well that last shot on the Stars' PP was very close for Mo

Stars win, 3-1!

Looking at the stat-tracker, seeing a lot of Game misconducts and a 2 min minor to Mo at the same time.....what happened?

Modano whined about a non-call that was the right decision IMO. Got an unsportsman-like conduct penalty.

Man Pronger is a dirty ***** though. Speared Hagman from behind between whistles. Soon enough he'll do something to draw a suspension and we'll see if the league cracks down on him like they've done the spares.

You guys got a good win, the Ducks played piss poor. We are an incomplete team right now and it really shows.

One question? Did the Stars deserve 9 penalties? Or, did the refs give Anaheim some presents. They had 2 5 on 3 advantages. Ralph and Razor said that the refs were punishing the Stars with that second 5 on 3. 9 power plays to 3 sounds a little one-sided.

i'll say it this way, if the Refs decide to do the game this way they need to to it for both sides. There were also some non-calls on the Ducks' side.

and i think Turco would have had a shutout without that 1:56 5on3

It wasn't a spear. Pronger tried to knock Hagman's feet out from underneath him with his stick as he was getting off the ice. Still a dirty unnecessary play. Pretty cowardly, too.

Wow, its pretty clear that this team is really feeling the burn after losing Niedermayer, Selanne, and Penner this off-season. They have got to do something. Good game overall for us. I really liked seeing Modano on the 2nd line and Ribeiro on the 1st. I have thought for a while now that this time has been coming. Modano is no longer a legitimate 1st line center. Ribeiro is a pretty good stopgap for the time being. Good old-time hockey! I like to see the intensity.
