well...I'd have to say I'm disappointed in him...considering how long the t-birds waited for him to finally come to them...lol

he's a good skater...can be a good shooter...but he's really inconsistant...and he seems to want to wait for the pretty shot more often than not...I think it's possible that he's feeling the strain of being in the whl rather than the ncaa...more games, travelling, higher competition, etc....the potential is there...but...as I said, I'm disappointed...he comes out strong..and seems to lay down...he just hasn't seemed to gel...a problem the whole team seems to have this year
hopefully he'll pop out of it...soon

oh, and his physical play is more than lacking...he's not a fighter...tries...but he needs some lessons

I saw him play last night, and I wasn't impressed. I hope that was one of his worst games of the season, because he sure didn't look like an NHL prospect.

UGH, hopefully he will improve, because some thought he was a steal when we drafted him.

last night was seattle's poorest performance to date...which, considering how awful we've played this year, is saying quite a bit...but, yeah, maiser has NOT impressed me...not even in blues training camp this year

fitz's fights were the only highlights last night for seattle

How did Zach Fitzgerald do? thanks for leading me into that question. I love talking scraps.

well...seems the first fight he hit tyrell with a left and either dropped him or came close...the linesman broke it up and tyrell took a couple of shots anyway and landed them on zack's head...so...you knew it wasn't over
second fight between the two came toward the end of the period...zack landed a couple of good rights and that was the end of that..tyrell was out for the game..and out tonight as well with a concussion..which really isn't a good thing...I prefer a broken nose or black eye or stitches over a concussion any day

seems zack only fights on the road these days

I know he needs to play hockey more and fight less...but...damn I love to watch him scrap

I guess huxley won his fight too which is amazing to me since I really haven't seen any great fighting from him this year...not that he isn't always trying to fight...but I don't see him win all that often

I'm still amazed he was able to break fitz's nose a year or so ago...must have been a lucky punch

Moulton vs. FitzGerald

Round 1: FitzGerald opens with a solid right, knocking Moulton to the ice...Moulton gets up and pounds FitzGerald with 3-4 solid rights. Decision: Moulton.

Round 2: FitzGerald opens with the exact same move to land a good solid right to Moulton's melon. FitzGerald lands a few more to get the easy decision.

thanks van...I had to go on the radio announcers' versions...I listened to the prince george broadcast first (they were split on the decision on the first, picked fitz on the second) and then listened to the seattle broadcast later...they were split on the first and agreed on fitz on the second...but they added the thing about the linesman having broken up the fight in the first one and then tyrell landed a couple on fitz after the break up...they said fitz laid into the ref a bit verbally about that
since I wasn't there, hell if I know

Maiser

I checked out a Thunderbirds game this year when they were in town. I was very impressed with FitzGerald, however Maiser was another story. I never thought he was a standout at all. It seems to me he is having a hard transition from the NCAA to the WHL. We'll have to wait and see how next year is, because this year he's a write off, or is he a 20 year old this year?

he's (maiser) twenty this year

and, as I've stated here before, fitz is a quick learner...he'll be one to watch in the future

Doesn't impress me at all. A wasted 20 year old spot as far as I am concerned.
