Canucks Modified Logo Leaked?

Someone posted this on the Canucks forums along with this messege

And the picture was taken with a digital camera of a computer screen so it is faded a bit.

So based on that info and going by how they edited the logo, it should look something like this.

Personally I wouldn't mind the change, might depend on how it looks on a jersey. That is if this is in fact how it will look.

Not that I think, or want, everyone to change their logo, I just don't see a change at all. What's different?

This logo reminds me too much of the awful messier era. It also reminds me of linden having to give up the "C" that he bled for. It reminds me of the awful stories of Iron Mike embarassing linden in the dressing room. It was the post messier era when things started turning around and the vintages came out soon after

Either go with some of the johnny canuck stuff that we've seen...or use the vintage for good... even go back to the skate if you want... just get rid of the whale, please.

omg with orca they can have fantastic logo and they have only this three-coloured attempt

I'm not professional graphic designer, it's only my hobby - but I know I can do much better logo with this very adaptable animal

Simple is better sometimes, why do so many people love the vintage logo? cause it's simple (and only has 3 colours also)

yes, you are right, but it doesn't apply to this new logo

I think in Vancouver, they have patent of graphically special logos

(especially the first two logos and now their last logo)

1970 - 1980

1980 - 1997

1997 - 2007 -> this one was very interesting, I like it

2007 - ? -> this one is step back

I don't think this is the logo. What would the unis look like? The Canucks have colorful uniforms with the retro and the current ones, why would they go to a logo with no color?

Just don't think this is their logo. When's the announcement date for them anyway? I haven't seen anymore come out since the first 3, but I also haven't been paying a ton of attention, either.

supposed to be August 1st so in 7 days.

The reason I think it is real and not a fake is because of the way it is setup on that official card which when the sabres logo was leaked last year it was on the same thing. Also the Lightning logo this offseason..

I actually like this new basic look better. Can't wait to see the new unis.

...although my fave 'nucks logo is the stick in the rink by far.

just for the record, it's only two colors. white doesnt count as a "color" (considering that, you know, you just dont print anything to get it...)

and yeah, im hard pressed to see how different that is...i think it's just a tweaked logo more then a new logo...

seriously...what's with the tampering of logos of late??

I like this one better, the other colour scheme was ugly.

Wait a second.. Blue white and silver? Sounds familiar. Now I know why I like it.

guess thats why the title is "Canucks Modified Logo Leaked" never said it was going to be a different logo.

It's cause there are new jerseys this year (the slim RBK ones) and some of the current logos would look stupid with them.

I don't think this is it (at least I hope it isn't).

From everything I've read, the logo itself is supposed to be slightly modified (kinda like what the Sharks did), and alter the color scheme slightly (ie. remove the maroon, add green, kinda going to the vintage color scheme)

Although I do remember reading that there was going to be more silver......
