Nazem Kadri

I was just wondering what you all thought about his potential. Will he break out this season? How many points do you think he will get? Will he be a 1st liner at some point in the next few seasons? What does his NHL Draft situation look like? Any comments would be very much appreciated.

He'll be on a deep team this season, I'd say he'll play but he won't see a large amount of icetime...I think he'll put up 40 points anything more is a plus i could see a 20 + 20 season

I'd say he'll be dealt mid season by the Rags to stock up for this season, because they are hosting the Memorial cup. Kitchener is already thin on draft picks, so they'll have to sacrifice a young player or two.

Effect on Kadri? Naturally he'll go from a minimal role on a succesful team, to an increased role on a team that isn't in contention.

Draft stock, Kadri won't be eligible until 2009, so his stock is very much in the air.

Kadri may be Kitchener's top penalty killing forward, he looks very solid on defence

I like Kadri, but he's not close to the top PK'er in Kitchener.

Boomhower, I agree - unless Kadri comes flying out of the gates this season, he'll be dealt for a veteran forward.

Top ten next springs NHL draft maybe. Depends on how he performs this year under Dale Hunter.

He has the skill set to be a sure fire NHLer but is at that stage were he needs to take it up a notch. He will again be on a pretty deep team on offence but should hold a lot of ice time especially with the PP. He will probably be joined by Stars draft pic Korostin, MacKinnon, Aliu, Carlson to form a formidable 4-1 PP unit. Add in Phil McRae as well and they have a real puck control Dale Hunter type PP unit.

Kadri should easily go by 100 points this year in around 110 if all goes right.

This is the year he needs to step out of others team mates shadows and take control.
