John Erskine

Anyone think the Rangers should invite him to camp?? We can use more size and physical toughness on defense. I know we already got more than enough d if we sign Leetch, but we dont have a big physical dman yet. Liffiton, Taylor and Baranka are a few years away. And Staal and Sauer as well. Erskine is only 26 years old. We can sign him to 2 or 3 year deal and be only 29 which is in his prime. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/...82&hubname=nhl

Agree with what Fly said.

The guy's just too slow for the new NHL.

Strudwick would be a be a "better" alternative as a veteran 7th defenseman.

Cairns-Erskine what's the difference? Why not Purinton then? A defenseman has got to skate these days. Whether he fights or not is just a bonus. He has to be able to move and move the puck.

Instead of being old and slow, Erskine is young and slow. Hell no

The Rangers might as well only put 4 players on the ice instead of playing Erskine... Strudwick over Erskine any day of the week!

Erskine is a cheap, slow, punk.

No way.

But it would be funny to see him and Colton Orr room together since Erskine jumped him that one game...

When did he jump him. I believe they only had 1 fight when he was with the isles and they squared off face to face. He grazed Orr with a shot to the head that knocked him down. No big deal but don't say he jumped him.

After a fight when Orr was on the ice Erskine ran him over from kinda the side/behind and jumped him. This was on Orr's next shift.
