Forsberg signed a two year deal for 10.7. Even if he is paid 5.7 in his first year, for cap purposes his salary counts for the average over the contract, so 5.35.
We need a 23 man roster, not a 20 man roster under th cap, so throw some of those Phantoms back in (Umberger, Beauchemin, Ruzicka, Picard).
This leaves us about 2.6 mil to resign Esche and Seidenberg. Tight, but doable with maybe just enough room to wiggle our toes and trade for a winger if need be.

According to reports that came out later it was a 11.5 million deal, check sportsnet.ca for example, and on nhlpa.com he is listed as 5.750.000.

It is 20
without Esche and Seidenberg, so its one of the Phantoms that needs to be "thrown in"

Snyggt Jobbat Bonde 007 as we say in swedish.
And all we got is $ 3 M
We need to sign Esche
There goes $ 2 M
With our last Million we must sign 2 more players.
I hope that Clarke know what he is doing

Primeaus cap hit is wrong BTW.
He signed a contract for 4 years, 4.5+4.5+4.0+4.0 =17 million total
4.25 /year -24% = 3.23 million NOT 3.42 which TSN has listed him at.
We save $190.000

At the moment they are just estimates, its is said that they signed their QO.
Radivojevic were at $800'000 before the lockout i
belive so it should be:
800'000 -24% = 608'000 QO at 110% so it should be 668'000.
Sharp were at $500'000 before the lockout i
belive so it should be:
500'000 -24% = 380'000 QO at 110% so it should be 418'000 (league minimum at 450'000)
Branko is not accurate since im not sure what his pre-lockout salary was, Sharp's however should be.

Good work, Bonde. Now keep this somewhere, such as in an Excel file or wherever, because it will be useful when we have payroll-related discussions.

Nice work.
I'd like to see Umberger get a shot at the final spot on the team in camp.

Primeau
Last year's contracts were wiped off the books so he basically signed a contract paying him 4.5, 4, and 4 mil a year.
4,500,000+4,000,000+4,000,000= 12,500,000
12,500,000 x .76 = 9,500,000
9,500,000/3 = 3,166,666.6666666666
