3-3 at the end of the second. Krog and Ozo have our other goals. Prospal got another assist on Krog's goal, as well as Pahlsson. Ozo's was unassisted.

Wierd, I thought Jiggy was playing in this game. Instead, Gerbs and Bryzgalov are playing.

They added an assist to Pahlsson on Ozo's goal, an actual honest-to-god power play goal.

Even without Fedorov we're 28-for-41 in faceoffs, 68%

ducksfly, the la times announced yesterday that Jiggy's start was pushed back to friday. It didn't say why. Maybe because Gerber was so bad in his game that they wanted a chance to look at the two backup candidates side by side.
Gerber has allowed 1 goal on 15 shots, Bryzgalov 2 on 6.

Our depth guys seem to be clicking. We need Krog to have a breakout year so we don't have to rely on the kids so much and/or Andy Mac coming back.

Pahlsson seems to be finding the scoresheet in the preseason. If not the back of the net.

I was actually suprised to see that Pahlsson had so much time on the powerplay in that game. Offense has never really been his specialty.

Just an update from a friend who was at the game. She said, "Severson's a *****," but she had a smile when she said it. Apparently he was quite feisty tonight.

Vish also was playing with a lot of grit. He made the hit that led to Brian Savage's double-minor to end the second.

As you can tell from the scoreboard, Prospal, Niedermayer, Ozo, Sammy and Krog all looked great. Rusty looked good, as did Chistov. Popovic looked "okay." Ozo's goal was apparently something to watch, an end-to-end rush.

Craig Johnson was taking faceoffs, so they may be thinking of putting Krog on the third line and having Johnson center the fourth. Sounds good to me.

Did she mention what line Chistov was on?

Krog and Pahlsson early, but Babs was really mixing it up later on. Chistov dove through three Coyotes to get a puck along the boards (missed it by THAT much) and he was hitting people. Typical Cheesy. I hope his scoring picks up, or else he'll be the most entertaining forty-point finesse forward ever.

Oh, and Severson apparently separated Bryan Helmer's shoulder. Took Helmer about five minutes to make it up off the ice, and Helmer was yapping at him as he was leaving the ice.

I wonder if the "chistov on the first line" theory is out the window.

If Chistov isn't in the top six, who replaces him?

My friend also said that Lupul showed some nice flashes but also coughed up the puck a few times, but overall "looked good."
