They added an assist to Pahlsson on Ozo's goal, an actual honest-to-god power play goal.
Even without Fedorov we're 28-for-41 in faceoffs, 68%
ducksfly, the la times announced yesterday that Jiggy's start was pushed back to friday. It didn't say why. Maybe because Gerber was so bad in his game that they wanted a chance to look at the two backup candidates side by side.
Gerber has allowed 1 goal on 15 shots, Bryzgalov 2 on 6.
i agree...i think it would be important to have as much production from the players as we can...im hoping chistov, smirnov break out along wit krog and i expect prosp, nieds, rucch, sykora and feds to come up big
Just an update from a friend who was at the game. She said, "Severson's a *****," but she had a smile when she said it. Apparently he was quite feisty tonight.
Vish also was playing with a lot of grit. He made the hit that led to Brian Savage's double-minor to end the second.
As you can tell from the scoreboard, Prospal, Niedermayer, Ozo, Sammy and Krog all looked great. Rusty looked good, as did Chistov. Popovic looked "okay." Ozo's goal was apparently something to watch, an end-to-end rush.
Craig Johnson was taking faceoffs, so they may be thinking of putting Krog on the third line and having Johnson center the fourth. Sounds good to me.
Krog and Pahlsson early, but Babs was really mixing it up later on. Chistov dove through three Coyotes to get a puck along the boards (missed it by THAT much) and he was hitting people. Typical Cheesy. I hope his scoring picks up, or else he'll be the most entertaining forty-point finesse forward ever.
Oh, and Severson apparently separated Bryan Helmer's shoulder. Took Helmer about five minutes to make it up off the ice, and Helmer was yapping at him as he was leaving the ice.
