I'm still not 100% on what kind of team we have this year, but I hope it keeps winning!

Should be a fun game, we'll need Khabibulin to be solid and get some solid contributions from the Horcoff line if we are to win this one. I'm thinking that it'll be a 5-4 game that can go either way.

While the early results are similar to last year I feel 10x better about this team. Tonight will be a good test and I hope Khabi has a lights out performance.

For sure, is it healthy to have a Mod bullying his way into doing EVERY GDT?

This is the first real test for this team I'd say. The Hawks are already playing at the top of their game. Everybody is going for them.

I don't expect a win, but if it's a close game, and the Oilers show they can reel these guys in a little bit, then that will be very very encouraging.

A little off base, but whatever ended up happening with that whole airline travel fiasco? Are teams having to fly back into Canada rather than charter from american city to american city?

They were able to work out a deal. The charter flights will have to do screenings before takeoff instead of just boarding the plane and taking flight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't we be in 5th and they in 6th? It's my understanding that if two teams are tied, it should be the team with the least games played(ie, pts %), then it goes to most wins, then if still tied it goes to points earned between tied clubs, and if STILL tied, goes to goal differential. And we are +5, they are +4.

Obviously not a huge deal 5 games in, but just curious.

It is over. Sorry I do not have a link but Air Canada sued and then they settled. Back to the original status quo.

The only change was that Air Canada must submit a passenger list and the teams can not vear from that list.

What really impresses me is how our scoring is so spread out across players. Production from everywhere is never a bad thing.

We can win. Show 'em who's boss Khabby.

I'm gonna guess 1-0 win, Khabi owning the pipes.

For good reason.

One thing of note in recent games: despite the so-called team speed of the Oilers, the Habs and Preds left the Oilers out-sped. They've been left panicking in their own zone on several occasions, unable to counter the quick passing other squads have made, and we've been left dazzled.

If there's a team on the planet with puck-moving capability, its the Blackhawks. We better be on our toes, is all.

3-1 Hawks. And mainly because Khabi shows his worth to his old team. Prove me wrong, boys!

Having a goalie play their former team always worries me. I hope the Hawks dont know something about Khabi that works against him.

At the same time I suppose Khabi will know the tendancies of alot of the Hawks forwards

There is still a healthy air of pessimism regarding this team, despite the 3-1-1 start and a substantial blow out of Nashville.

I really like it, and it speaks to the fact we suffered through last year's debacle, post a 4-0 start.

I just want the effort and toughness to continue.

We aren't going to go 80-1-1 and this is a game that on paper, we shouldn't win.

Still, the Oilers have surprised me every game so who knows.
It's nice thinking we have a chance every game.
