CCM U+ Pros and sizing after baking

I recently bought a pair of CCM U+ Pro Reloaded '09s. I've been told when sizing the skate the toes should touch the end of the skates when first put on and that when you lace them up and lean forward your toes should pull off so they don't curl.

Well after wearing them around the house laced up my toes still seem to slightly touch the the toe cap on the outside edges. I haven't baked them yet, and was wondering would baking the skate provide me with that extra bit of room/length I'm looking for so my toes don't touch or should I buy the half size up?

The reason I ask is that I'm right on that cusp of Jr/Sr skate. I bought a 5.5D, and don't know if between baking them and punching the toe cap (if that's even possible) will help my situation or should suck it up, pay double the price and get the 6Ds? Is it okay for the toes to touch but not curl or should they be totally off the toe cap when fitted properly?

Yes, you should get up to a 1/4 size when you bake them. Just make sure your heels are as deep in the cup as you can get them.
