Crease rule alive and kicking...
Heels in the crease. No contact. No goal.
YT will likely be posted by someone eventually.
Cleary and Kipper for the record.

That was really terrible. The ref should be ashamed of himself.

Foot in the crease.= rule.
No goal in wings game for foot in crease? Hasn't this rule been out for 10 years now? These refs smoked something weird before this game, they are back in 1999.

Wings get jobbed again. That's definitely a good goal.

well that didn't take long for a thread. lol
My only explanation is that the refs mistook Cleary for Homer and waived it off on instinct.

The refs seem to have gotten down on the Flames and continue sucking them all. Man, it's a disgusting display of incompentence. Can't the league afford any decent training for them? Missed calls, waved off a legitimate goal.

I think it still is in the rulebook.
That said, the "goaltender couldn't do his job" comment was ********. Kipper wasn't even touched by Cleary, who had half his skates in the crease and thats about it.
Oh well. All this thread will do is bring out the "Red Wings fans are whiners" crowd.

The Wings are having a hard enough time scoring goals of late. Having the refs take away perfectly good goals is just salt in the wounds.

Yet another borderline call against the Wing's.
But homer aside, I've never seen this bad of officiating league wide then it is this year it's getting absurd...

So yeah I'm watching the game, see the event, rofl at the ref, go on msn, talk with CHJ (Cold Hard Justice), he tells me there's already a thread on hf, I lol again, then I lol at the reffing this year.

The reffing so far this period is just terrible all around. Detroit actually interferes with Kipper on a powerplay (a very weak call on Langkow), no call. Then Kipper cross checks Holmstrom from behind right in front of the ref, no call. Just fire these refs already.

It wasn't even homer. I'm guessing you've never watched the wings play unless they're playing your flames.

he gets away with about as much as the opponents do beating on him.
And as I was typing this they showed the replay of Kipper knocking homer down with a shot to the back of the legs. The ref was right behind the net looking that direction.

This is all very comical from a Detroit fan perspective. The Wings can't buy a goal, and the ones they do score get taken away.

It was a weak call, but Detroit has gotten away with Bloody Murder otherwise. Blatent trip on Glencross, Datsyuk crashing over Kipper, and then a weak call on Langkow. It all balances out in the end.
