"I think Danny flirts with the edge all the time." Ruff told reporters after a pracise in Washington."He does. He took that double minor for high sticking (against the Sabres on Nov.14), and Danny's had a lot of those. He snaps." He'll do something you wouldn't expect him to do, but I think that's part of what makes him an effective player, too. You don't know what you're going to get from Danny if you go up against him. You can get a stick across the chops, you can get a two-hander across the legs. That's just part of the makeup."
- Coach Lindy Ruff, whose team has lost four straight games.

Unfortunately, Briere isn't playing. The Flyers are a far better club with him out of the lineup. Since he signed, here are Philly's records with him in the lineup and without him:
Overall
With Briere: 59-50-16 (.536)
W/out Briere: 40-14-7 (.713)
2009-10
With Briere: 8-8-1
W/out Briere: 5-0-0
This one is going to get ugly. Miller is mercifully pulled early in the 2nd after Philly makes it 3-0. They will use him against Carolina tomorrow night and Toronto next week. Flyers take this one, 6-2.
Gaustad
Roy
Richards
Carter
Hartnell
Timonen
van Riemsdyk
Carcillo
Not to come in sounding like a dick, but as an FYI for the next vs. Flyers GDT you do, only thing I noticed was the logo you chose, we haven't used since 2004.
Enjoy the game guys. And since I'm sure most of you are off, enjoy your day off! (I had to use a half day of leave because today is a scheduled work day ).

**** Philadelphia. We win this one. Wachovia explodes after the "lol gabres" and "omg a flyer fell down! PENALTY!!!!" jeers reach critical mass and create a black hole where the arena once was.

Not really, but I don't see them turning it around against the Flyers. I'd almost rather Lalame start so we could at least be reasonably assured about 2 points against the Canes. If we lose tonight and start Lalime tomorrow, who the hell knows.
I'll say 4-2 Flyers, we show up still bloated and drowsy from turkey day and have to learn the hard way (again) what physical hockey looks like. Vanek and either Gaustad or Kaleta pot our only goals.

You act like Richards wasn't probably out drinking last night.
And Flyers have looked horrible. The only good period they've had in the past 4 games was Wednesday night's 3rd period.
I highly doubt Miller gets rested today. They played Wednesday and before that saturday. Also adding in were in our worst slump of the year so far, I couldnt imagine this being a Lalame game today. If anything Crappy Lalame is going to play tomorrow against the Canes
1 today? are you ******** me? stuck at work, but i might be able to find a radio somewhere. i'm pissed i'm missing this one. in any event we lost 2-1. the offense continues to struggle.
Miller better ****ing play tomorrow. That's all I have to say. Might as well play Lalame today since we are losing anyways. Make sure to get the two tomorrow at home. Posted via Mobile Device
