Whats up with this team?

C: Thornton, Savard
LW: Heatley, Lucic
RW: Hossa, Ryan
F: JVR
Util: Mike Fisher
D: Gonchar, Del Zotto, MAB, Demers

G: Nabby, Roloson/Theo/JSG

bn: Havalat, Knuble, Tyler Kennedy, Konopka

Other than Nabby my goaltending has been meh. This lineup is reflective of today 11.25

Should I just stand pat....its taken quite a bit of tweaking 20+ moves and several trades to get here....riding out the IR

it's not a bad team - but there are at least 5 guys on that squad who have been or are injured
Giguere is riding a lot of pine and Theo has been battling for the # 1 and Roloson has been good, but not a lot of W's.

it's a fine team, be patient - but watch the waiver-wire

Savard, Gonchar and Lucic haven't played much, Hossa not at all. So that is problem 1.

Problem 2... you don't have too much defensive depth. MDZ cooled off a bit, but he's fine. MAB and Demers don't seem like surefires to put up great final stats, IMO

Your goalies could use a huge upgrade. All 3 are splitting starts, with Theo not playing much recently.

Knuble is hurt, so is Kennedy and now Havlat (who has been the suck anyway). Not sure what to make of konopoka.

Your defense can survive because your offense is superb. You could definitely use an upgrade in goal. That's the only change I would try to make.

otherwise your offense is just getting healthy, so wait for everyone to start clicking.

Havlat I just picked up in a trade that sent Clarkson out to bring in Lucic.

Havent played Havlat even one game...he'll stay on the bench unless he gets hot

I rode Clarkson then went after Lucic to go with Savard when they both came of the IR

Its a 12 team league and fairly competitive. Ther are ZERO goaltending options on the wire....pretty much the same with D

your rocking 4 goalies... the only true starter is Nabby... Roloson is sort of a starter, but Biron will challenge for time, and if the 60 million dollar man ever plays again he could too..

Your in a tough jam.. JS Gigiuire I would drop, and pick someone to help you out... may I suggest Tukka Rask, kid is great, and Thomas is out for an undiscolosed amount, it is "day to day"...but who knows

However... if Giggy is traded I think he can come back to being #1 somewhere else, but that is the question...

I carry 4 because I have to hope one of the 3 not named Nabby becomes a starter. My league is fairly deep and goaltending his of high value. Rask is unavailable.

Manny Legace is unavailable.

And I really carry 5 goalies because I carry Griesse in case of injury to Nabby

I know its crazy to carry 5 goalies. I would love to jettison 2 of them....but I need to ride it out.

I'm hoping for JSG or Theo to get hot down the stretch.....in the mean time I have them both on the block

I've been offering any of those 3 goalies packaged with Bobby Ryan/JVR and D man for a solid 2nd starter.

So far no luck

You have way too many injuries and poor goaltending and defensive depth.

You need to make a major move, and hope your returning players can perform at least up to standard to do well.

For example, see if you can move Heatley and JSP for a solid goaltender and defenceman.

You have good offensive depth, and it will only improve with time. Losing Heatley is a major blow, but the upgrades in both goaltending and defence is your only shot at winning.

it depends what your strategy is... having BOTH thornton AND savard you probably crush in assists... but you also have Heatley Hossa and Ryan who all pour in goals...

Personally, I would find someone who struggles with assists and trade savard, he has good value ad should get you a good return for a goalie...

just know I am only helping you so much cause you have John Lennon as an avatar......lol
