My gut feeling was that it was offsides, but they couldn't show a camera angle that definitively said it was either offsides or onsides.

One of the GWG that the Blues got against the Wings in Sweden was offsides. Per CBC and their cameras - not anything Wings related. It went unnoticed by most though, so no one complained (even on HF!).

If there was a "challenge play" allowed, I wouldn't be surprised to see coaches use their challenge on situations like this.

The refs aren't helping the Coyotes, but the level of officiating in this league is just beyond awful.

Flyers don't deserve to win anyway

And the refs just added another goal to the Coyotes, just for good measure...

This was not a good game by the Flyers by any stretch of the imagination, but neither of these two calls was in any way clear and in my opinion both were incorrect.

If you mean this one, you could see that the thread I'm posting this in was opened before the one I linked to in this post.

Other than that, agreed.

since when can you score a goal.....without actually putting it in the net?

And then theres that offside that was let go. What the balls? me thinks maybe theres a conflict of interest playing against a team the NHL owns.

Flyers had chances to win, but certainly were not helped by the ref's.

Maybe we should stop making these refs = fail threads since it happens so often, it's basically a norm in the NHL.

Correct. Gary Bettman sat down, and penned a bunch of super secret letters instructing the officials to give the Coyotes breaks on calls...or else. He then slipped each letter into the coat pockets of all of the officials when they weren't looking. Any time he sees one he gives them the finger across the throat motion thingy, just to drive home the fact that he means business.

It went down something like that, right?

Sure it did.

This is just like the time that Gary Bettman snuck in during the middle of the night and rigged the draft lottery so the Penguins would get Crosby.

i guess the idea never dawned on you... since the NHL is ran by honest people as opposed to greedy ones, and its inconcievable to think that the league is biased in any way whatsoever.

I'll put the needle back in my pocket, and I'll leave your bubble alone.

If you just left this portion out of the post, would it really have been so bad?

Tell me how this goes down. Seriously. Explain it without making yourself look like a fool. Just try.

what would be even more amusing is how you would justify the idea that the NHL isnt crooked. Im not going to waste my time with this, since I know your type. Its impossible to change an already made up mind, logic be damned.

All I am going to say is that every decision/99 percent of the decisions made by the NHL are to maximize profits at all costs... even at the cost of the integrity of the game, and fair play.

Im not in the mood for putting on a show, so if you are interested, I'll PM you with my opinion. Just let me know if you are interested.

If you truly believe the league is rigged to the extent that it has the integrity of pro-wrestling then why do you watch? If you actually accept what you're saying to be the truth and you continue to support the league by watching their product, then you really shouldn't complain.

By the way, most words in the English language do not require using the letter 's'.

And please, no more "tinfoil" hat pics. It was bad enough when the Pens fans were all doing it.
