no thanks. hartnell and gagne have NTCs. JVR is on fire and practically untouchable barring massive overpayment. i highly doubt the flyers are interested in frolov right now.

donīt the flyers have some salary cap issues comming next season? There are no reasons to trade JVR but why not Gagne and Hartnell (letīs assume that both of them would remove their NTC)?

None of the above.

You can have Riley Cote for Alex Frolov instead.....

Gagne/Hartnell or bust

AKA I have no idea why the Frolov to Philadelphia rumors ever existed in the first place

Gagne would make the most sense. JVR is pretty near untouchable right now, it would make no sense to traded that much for him. Hartnell is a fan fave, or a I think that at least. And do they have anyone like him on the team. Also, Gagne makes the most and makes more than Frolov likely would. So, some deal around the two makes sense for the best for the Flyers.

Gange has a hit of 5.525 million for this season and next
Frolov is at 2.9 mil for this year, likely has a 4.5-5 cap hit for next contract

Frolov+ a mid round pick+prospect for Gagne? May be a third(Kings have two) since Frolov is a UFA at year's end but wants to be on a contender, something the Flyers will be for the forseeable future. Also, Gagne will have a higher cap and has had injury issues, and sports hernias are a painful injury that can come back. Trust me on that part.

So is this fair?

To LA
Simon Gagne
2010 4th or 5th rounder

To Philidelphia
Alexander Frolov
2010 3rd rounder
MA Cliche

As a Flyers fan, I would do this deal because of 2 reasons. The 1st being that Gagne has been injured alot over the past 3-4 seasons. The 2nd is that if Frolov sucks, You don't resign Him and use the money You saved from trading Gagne to improve your team somewhere else. I would rather have the Kings add a 2nd rounder instead of the 3rd.

The Flyers dont touch any of the OP's deals and the Kings dont touch the last proposed deal.

Maybe Frolov and 2nd (PHIL's from Gauthier deal) for Gagne?

why add a 2nd? Unless itīs in 2011 and if Gagne plays more than 80% of the games during his time with the kings

Would this be better for the Kings? I as a Kings fan would do this.

To LA
Gagne
2010 3rd rounder

To Phi
Frolov
MA Cliche or other prospect

And 2011 conditional picks can go either way for Frolov's resigning or not and Gagne's health next year.

No way in hell Philly does the first 2 for a UFA. Hartnell is to Philly as Dustin Brown is to LA. Gagne plays a huge role for the Flyers now and in the future.

As for the 3rd deal, I'm not sure if Philly can fit under the cap. But if JVR hits a slump, then I wouldnt be surprised if Philly thinks it over.

that sounds like such a great idea!!! oh yea thats right there is a salary cap!! oh darn oh yeah and you want us to trade our youngest and one of our leading scorers to start his career. makes sense for philly to trade that type of a player for a player deem as a type of cancer.

Would love Bernier but soon enough a kings goalie will be available on the open market

Frolov a cancer?

That's the same person that probably said that Jack Johnson wanted to go to Russia and that the Kings were trading Kopitar for Khabibulin

Value or personal feelings aside, there's no reason for Philly to make a deal.

They have (IMO) a Cup calibre roster as is. No need to mess with what is working at this time.

How is a Kings goalie going to be on the market soon?

Because I'm generous and like to see picks returned to their mothers

I would trade Gagne for Frolov a month in a half from now but LA would have to add a decent prospect or a decent pick.

Frolov is a rental. I can't believe the returns people think they could get for him.

+1. Frolov is most likely a deadline acquisition for a contender. Flyers don't need him right now.

Really depends on the team. If say the Rangers traded for him, he'd likely re-sign.
