How are you going to leave out Rick Nash?

He is more of a power-forward, not THAT good at defence.
I'll take Zetterberg.

Pretty easily since his defensive game is far inferior to everyone else on the list (barring Iginla perhaps).
Datsyuk, then Richards, then everyone else, imo.

2 years straight Zetterberg absolutely bent over Crosby in the finals. He's my choice.

It's ridiculous that Richards did not win the Selke last year. Look at all those shorties.

Probably a tie between Kesler and Richards. Richards is better offensively(arguable, still though) and Kesler is better defensively. It's even imo.
And Zetterberg of course. For me there can be 3 "best". Lol.

What do shorties have anything to do Selke? He may be good defensively, but Datsyuk damn well deserved that award.

This is a battle between Z, Dats and Richards. I pick Z.

Lehtinen and his
3 Selkes say hello.
Of this list, I'll say Richards.

I'm a huge Flyers fan and the homer in me says Richards, but the hockey fan in me says Mikko Koivu. If Minnesota would ever do the right thing and get that guy some legitimate finishing wingers, he'd be deadly. I'd love to see him in Philadelphia.

Datsyuk. Scores more than Zetterberg, with weaker linemates, hits more often and has a better faceoff %. Also is miles ahead in takeaways and his giveaways are always usually low.

For stuff like this, it's the same thing as debating who's the best team in the league before the season is even half-way over. The team that won the Cup last year is the best team until, at the very least, there's something to base any other argument off of (meaning until at least half-way through the season).
Same thing here for me. Datsyuk won the Selke, but Richards got second place and the most first place votes therefore I could see either of them as the best defensive forward.

Datsyuk or Zetterberg or Marleau or Richards
HM: Rick Nash
People that watch Rick play regularly will understand he is very very good defensively

Zetterberg, Alfredsson and Iginla shouldn't even be considered. I hesitate between Kesler, Richards and Datsyuk, but I gotta go with the good ol' Canadian kid.

Yeah, when he decides to show up. Rick Nash shouldn't have even been mentioned in this thread.

Pavel Datsyuk for me.
Then Zetterberg, than Richards, than the rest...
