just wondering who you guys think match the criteria:
I believe we need a 2nd line C, a checking winger, and a #2 dman to become legit contenders
1C Kopitar - star center, best yet to come
2C
3C Handzus, Stoll - 2 third line centers paid like 2nd liners, keep 1, lose 1
4C
1RW Williams - gritty winger with hands, compliments Kopitar
2RW Brown - perfect second liner, scores, hit, leads
3RW Simmonds - defensively sound with offensive upside
4RW
1LW Smyth - gritty veteran front of net presence, meshes with Kopitar
2LW Frolov - could be a top 20 player if he grew a heart
3LW
4LW
Spare Ivanans should only see 40 - 50 games a year
Spare Richardson - shows jam, unfortunatly no physical presence
1D Doughty - growing into role nicely
2D
3D Johnson - I am being nice here, getting better but not yet there
4D Drewiske - getting better all the time, plesant suprise
5D Greene/Scuderi - solid physical Dmnn with no offence
6D O'Donnell - physical dman, shouldn't be asked to do more
7D Jones - perfect fit as a spare, should see time eventually
1G - Quick - doing good
2G - Ersberg - if Quick continues to do well Ersberg is adequate
Demote - Purcell - needs to regain confidence
Promote - Clune - as soon as he is ready
If Murray finally decides to stop trying to spread around the offence and give teams 2 solid scoring lines to concentrate on and let Handzus and Simmonds lead a checking line it wont leave a lot of minutes left for a energy line. Ivanans is not needed for half our games and a spolid physical energy line would be welcome to wear down the opposition.
