Latest draft pick inducted to HHOF?

Luc Robitaille, inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame last night, was originally a 9th round draft pick (171st overall). At the time he was drafted, most doubted whether he'd ever play in the league, let alone become the highest-scoring left winger of all-time.

I was just wondering if there's anyone in the HHOF who was drafted later than Robitaille? What about anyone currently playing who's (likely) headed for the HHOF who was drafted later?

He's retired now and should be going into the hall when he's eligible but Dominik Hasek was drafted at #207 in the 1983 draft.

Ed Belfour was never drafted and will most likely get into the HOF. There are many others, but during the draft era, I can't think of another one.

EDIT: Brainfart. Gretzky obviously is the best player during the draft era to not have been drafted but he was never eligible for the draft, so I'm sticking with Belfour as the best HOFer/Future HOFer who was eligible for the draft as we currently know it.

Right, but as said by the OP, he's not even the lowest in his own freaking class!

Still deserves a mention...one of the best hockey players to play the game drafted so late.

Adam Oates - Not in the HHOF but everyone knows he should be and he was never drafted.

Wayne Gretzky - Was never drafted.

Peter Stastny - Was never drafted

Joe Mullen - Was never drafted

Non-North American players do not qualify for mentioning in this thread. They are picked late or not at all for reasons that have nothing to do with their skill level.

Guys like Mullen and Oates are different (and even more impressive) stories.

well, no... no it doesnt deserve a mention. The thread is looking for the lowest draft pick to make it into the HHOF. The OP said Robitaille who was later than Hull. Why mention Hull then? Obviously it isnt Hull...
