Alex Henry was also put on waivers.
I'm guessing this guy is a 7th D.. and Hamilton Bulldogs bound?

If you claim someone, do you not have to ensure them NHL time? Is Spacek hurt? Is MAB done? Just a backup?

I mean that was unexpected....Henry was pretty valuable for the kids in Hamilton. I hope that it's not detrimental to Carle.

Interesting. I hope we keep Carle up. He played great yesterday.

I think that is just for re-entry (but I might be wrong on that).

I don't really know anything about this guy except that he is 6-4 220.

Edit: Nevermind, he was on re-entry waivers, so yes. I think he is up for the year.

I think you just pick up their contract. Thats it thats all.
So with him being picked up (clearly on a 2 way contract) He should be heading down to Hamilton.

Although I wouldnt mind to hear that MAB was put on waivers.

If I were to put on my guessing hat, I would say that MAB is on the way out (sooner, if not later), Spacek is hurt as seriously as it seemed when he was handling the puck, and Carle has impressed enough to earn a spot (moving the puck as well or better than MAB, and looking more solid defensively as well) in the mean time. Almost certainly an AHL guy to fill the spots of guys who are going to have to move up to the Habs to cover injuries. But if not, I'd say a pressbox/7th guy insurance policy. Will have to look into how waivers actually affect him here.

He looks like a depth D-man. Spends much of his time in the AHL. I wouldn't expect TOO much.

Are you sure the Habs couldn't send him down after a minimum duration? Definitely, you claim a player off waivers you need to keep him up at least X amount of time.

I just finished reading in another thread that Spacek was actually on the ice practicing today. So his injury probably wasn't as bad as it seemed.

Cap hit for the Habs would be less than 243,750 I think.

Another left handed guy to replace the right handed guy who's played well since called up. No ****ing wonder young players get frustrated here. Players are mismanaged left, right, and center. THIS IS ****ING SAD!

Well Spacek was at practice this morning so maybe it's not that serious.I just can't take MAB anymore and the fact that Carle played more then Bergeron last night pretty much tells you how Martin feels about him.Even on the 5 on 3 he was lost and didn't know if he should switch sides with Cammalleri

Not true. D-men are mismanaged left, left and left.
