OT: NFL commentator apologizes for racist comment

Now I'll be the first person to say that the world is WAAAAAAAAAAAY too overly-sensitive when it comes to what is supposedly "racism", but Gus could've probably chose wiser words.

Tennessee running back Chris Johnson broke a 52-yard touchdown run on Sunday, which is the kind of thing you can't do without excellent foot speed. That kind of speed, Gus Johnson calls "Gettin' away from the cops" speed.

I feel that people are way too overly sensitive to racism these days and it only makes things worse.

You know; I would chuckle if I heard that just because it sound so off-beat. Then I would burst out laughing as the "racism" in it kicked in and I realized how some people would be outraged by it.

I am closing this thread as it has potential to get ugly. Racism as folks already know isn't allowed here at HF Boards. Discussing it will only bring out the worst posters eventually and just create a mess for us Moderators.
