He plays a few games a year before missing a large chunk of time due to knee injuries.

Is he the latest to get a shot as a top-six winger? Nothing has worked so far to get two balanced scoring lines. Every time one line does well, the other disappears. I thought Lecavalier's line was pretty good last night, but the Stamkos line fell back a bit.

You have to credit the Leafs defense there. They really contained the Stamkos line well.

Komisarek, Beauchemin, Kaberle and White have all been excellent lately.

Agreed. But I doubt Stephane Veilleux is a viable option for the Stamkos-St. Louis line.

He has the talent to stick but the knees of a 90 year old so I doubt he would stick very long until we are looking for another option.

It wouldn't surprise me if a team called the Lightning and asked if they would put him on recall waivers so they could select him. A player making above the nhl minimum playing in the ahl isn't great for a team on a budget.

If he reaches Anaheim on the waiver wire I'd consider him for our 3rd line. The Ducks bottom 6 scares me some nights.

Craig would help out some of the teams. Carolina, Minnesota could use him to shake up their rosters. Not saying he will go in and score 30 goals. Buy Craig knows what his role in on a team. By adding Craig that team gets better in my opinion he still only 27. Size. Injuries are the only problem.

If you want his career ended, Vancouver can pick him up and ensure an injury to him within 48 hours.

I remember some time ago he was touted as possibly being the next Lightning captain.

yeah Ryan is a great person and could definitely make a good captain. He has great character, work ethic, and always is there to protect or stand up for his teammates. Even after not making the team after playing a couple years in the NHL and being sent down to the AHL, he seemed very determined to work his way back up and prove he belongs here. Looks like that is exactly what he's done. 7 goals, 9 points, and a +3 in 11 games.

You'd be right. He's got all the characteristics to be a captain, the previous regime was very high on him. He had a productive rookie season, but he's just had a bunch of injuries. He's good enough to be an NHL regular somewhere.

The habs should pick up Craig only at half of 738K i believe. Pick him up and send Stewart back down to the AHL.

Yes. This does create a problem with the roster however. Right now Ranger has a leave of absence from the team for person reasons, but when he returns, we will be 1 player over the limit. Most likely one of our other defensemen will have to be moved.

You had 9 D-men make the opening night roster correct? I knew one would probably have to be moved eventually so this doesn't surprise me. Who's the odd man out? I'd think either Hale or Krajicek but I don't know too much about the Lightning so you'd know more than me.

From my knowledge, he's a gritty and tough bottom 6 forward. He's got great leadership and I've seen him fly in to stick up for teammates and fight. I think he can PK too, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the Leafs taking him, I think they already have enough of his type already like Mayers, Mitchell, Orr, and even Primeau. Never hurts to pick up more leadership though.

Well, Mitchell are Mayers both are playing pretty bad. Mayers is just stinking it up and Mitchell thinks that he is a top 6 forward.. It would be great to have a guy who knows his role and does it well.

I could see the Hawks swapping him in for Ebbett

Yep. I see this as a reality. Not only could the Canucks use another body or two but the Moose is in desperate need of centers too. I see the Canucks totally putting in a waiver claim.
