Plekanec won the HFboards cup poll for the month of October!

Actually I didn't include the totals from the Toronto game because almost no one voted on it. Cammalleri and Plekanec were tied for first with 7 votes and Scott Gomez and Roman Hamrlik were tied for third for 5 points...maybe we can decide how to tiebreak here.

Also, should I just stop posting these polls after every game? Comments/votes have been decreasing and if we think it's stupid then we can just stop. Just let me know what you guys think. Any suggestions for improvement, etc?

OK, I'll keep it going. For those interested, please don't just vote, but also post your 3 choices. This will hopefully keep the thread up so more people see it and vote.

Also I decided the tie-breaker would be points in a game, with a goal being worth more than an assist. So in the Toronto game, Plekanec got first start(2 assists), Cammalleri got 2nd star (1 assists), Hamrlik got third star(1 goal). Hope everyone's OK with that...

Do it Olympic style; give Pleks and Cammalleri each a 1st place victory. Give Hammer and Gomez each a 3rd place victory (no silver/2nd due to a tie for gold/1st). Same would apply if there was a tie for 2nd (no bronze/3rd place finisher).

Your tiebreaker is all fine and dandy until either Price or Halak ties with a forward.

Good call...didn't think about the ol' goalies. I'll do that in the future
