To NSH:
Antti Miettinen 2.5m

To MIN:
Dan Hamhuis 2.5m

The Predators need to add offense and a top 6 forward, Miettinen has proven that in the past. The Wild add more depth on the blue line as they are not playing well at the moment. The only downside of the deal is Minnesota has 8 quality defencemen competing for playing time. But you can never have enough defencemen. Both Salaries cancel out. I believe both players have this year and next year remaining on their current deals.

Hamhuis is UFA after this year. I'll trade you erat for Miettinen

While i'm not opposed to a 1 for 1 swap involving UFAs, I'd hope for someone better than Miettinen for Hamhuis.

Miettinen is only a top-6 forward on a bad NHL team. There is not really a place for Hamhuis and even as a UFA he has to get a better return than Miettinen.

As for Miettinen for Erat, the Wild have no use for your cap problem, we have our own on LTIR in Bouchard.

He's actually not really a cap problem, since we're nowhere near the cap... he's just a problem.

Hamhuis cannot be traded in a one-for-one swap because it cripples our defensive depth, and Miettinen is far from a top six forward.

If Bouchard wasn't injured I'd be interested in him. But Miettinen? No thank you

Miettinen is a classic "Tweener". He's too inconsistent to be a true top-6 forward, and he's too small to be a bottom-6 grinder.

However, that said, he does play very well with Koivu. He's a completely different player and actually looks like a 2nd liner in that situation.
