With Grabner now out indefinitely, the Canucks announced this morning that they have signed Moose forward Matt Pettinger, who’s already on a plane to Vancouver this morning.

all players taken after Pettinger in the second round?
Pettinger isnt bad. just hasnt been able to consistently put out his potential on the NHL ice.
Very good skater. hard hitter, and can score the odd goal.
Sounds like your prototypical 3rd line PK guy who can play anywhere you want, just Use him correctly. n he would be a staple on your roster lineup.
I remember he scored a beauty for Van when he came over. than trailed off. but still he has that potential to be a good 3rd line guy

This is a guy that once put up 20 goals in a year, he's not a complete waste of space.

we signed him for one reason and one reason only.
we had frickan D-men playing forward. Might as well get an actual forward to play the position.

If he can stay healthy for 5 games in a row I'll consider this signing a steal.

Why does a guy filling in for injuries deserve such bashing.

I can assure you that Tyler Arnason is as big of a waste of space as there is in professional hockey.

meh, he's on a two-way deal and the Canucks aren't anywhere near the 50 contract limit.
As soon as some guys get back from injury, he'll get sent down.

He got 15 points on Tampa last year which looks like real production compared to most of the Canuck 3th and 4th liners this year.
Like Hordichuk and Johnson have got about 3 shots on net between them so far. Glass scored his first of the year last night which puts him well ahead of many of other 3rd and 4th liners.

If nothing else, he'll work hard for the Canucks.
