Record when outshooting our opponents

Record when outshooting our opponents seems much worse than when we get outshot. It could be RNG or maybe we just play much worse D. Any ideas?

What's RNG?

One theory I have is that Luongo is used to playing on much more inferior teams (Islanders, Panthers) so when he doesn't get as much action his focus tends to waver.

My guess is that we tend to sit back when we get an early lead not generating many shots. When we're trailing we have to open up more and are generating more shots.

How often were we trailing in the 2nd and 3rd and watching the other team sit back? "Shots" is a totally useless stat unless you consider the quality and the situation.

you sir are correct.
From what ive watched in the canucks games this year.
We OUT shoot from the OUTSIDE, and never in the right situations. (PP with man infront)
we allow too many GOOD quality shots from down low or in the slot. and always allow too many shots when leading by 1 late in the games.
The Nucks need to play desperate hockey. AV needs to instill a system where the boys are always thinking we are down by one, n we need to score,
this way we insure a solid campaign throught a game. not 40 or 55 minutes of hockey.
