My first time in the Florida board. Ever. Just came in to say that everytime I check NHL.com for scores and look at a Florida game it seems as though every goal has been scored by him. I saw Florida had scored three and joked to myself that Reinprecht probably had them all. Low and behold...
That he has scored one third of the Panthers goals after 11 games is not a good sign. That's enough...
While this great that somebody is scoring, It is actually and indictment on how pathetic our "oh..sooo talented forwards are"
And he is scoring because he is on the blue paint, nobody else is, I would think this concept would easy to grasp, he is a great example on where the forwards should be when attacking..that is 32% of the goals we have collectively..

My sentiments, exactly. However, Olesz is also getting in the blue paint, but the refs seem to dislike that from him (as we saw with that weak crease violation call he got last night)

This. All three of his goals were in front of the net. So far he seems to be the only player this season to be willing to take the punishment to plant himself there. The bottom line is we have too many perimeter players.
Horton should be following his lead. He's got the size and toughness to screen the goalie and take the beating, but in the past he's tried to be Mr. Fancypants with the puck instead of going to the high traffic zones.

I disagree with regards to Horton. He has the passing ability and patience(sometimes too much) to setup or get a shot on net which allows Reino to get to the rebound. You need both.
We brought in Reinprecht to help our offense, and thats exactly what hes done. Worth every penny right now. As bad as our offense is, imagine if we didnt have Reinos production.
