Its amazing. Sometimes I would prefer if it had no bubbles in it at all thought, its an amazing drink without them . Mango and Lychee are my favorites.

BTW, the 'bubbles' are big tapioca right?

Yep, they are tapioca ball. I don't like them either but meh, they are okay. As long as you don't swallow them you'll be okay.

Living in an Asian populated area, I have it fairly often. I like the tapioca pearls but it depends on where you get them because I've been to a lot of places where the pearls taste like nothing which makes them seem like disgusting balls of crap in my drink.

I had a coffee bubble tea once.

Weirdest drink I've ever had.

I usually eat about half of them just because they get stuck in the big straws.

Usually get it with coconut jelly instead of the pearls. Far prefer them, and they definetely don't feel like something that would completely screw up your digestive system.

My friend's sister had it in Vancouver and loved it, but when we went to some place in Chinatown it was terrible, and she even acknowledged that. Anyone in NY got a good place?

Ten Ren in Flushing/Chinatown is really good if you're getting the regular milk tea or green tea. Their flavored slushes are decent, but not fantastic. They have the best tapioca; they're actually sweet and not flavorless. Unfortunately, they don't have a large variety of flavors.
Vivi Bubble Tea in Chinatown is pretty good, and Teariffic in Chinatown is also good.
Don't go to Quickly in either Flushing or Chinatown. They are AWFUL. I don't know why everyone flocks to them. Their bubble tea has made me sick more than once.

Vivi is on Bayard St & Elizabeth (49 Bayard St). That is about a block away from Canal & Mott.
Teariffic is on Mott & Bayard (51 Mott St). If you know where Chinatown Ice Cream Factory is, go down towards Mott and make a left and it should be around there.
Ten Ren is on Mott & Canal (79 Mott St).
They are all very close to each other (around Mott and Canal), so you shouldn't have a problem finding them. (:

Not a fan of the tapioca stuff, but the drink itself is pretty good. Loved peach, passion fruit, lychee was also good.

I lived in Vancouver and Richmond BBT is the best around. Living in Toronto now the BBT around here is okay, nothing great yet. I can't imagine Chinatown in NY having a great selection of BBT though.

taro, lychee, and honeydew.

I thought chocolate would taste gross, but it actually isn't that bad.

There is a place called the crazy banana or something on 32nd by MSG. You can't miss it, it has a sign on the front window that says "the joy of sucking on balls"....

HATE IT. Almost threw up when one of the bubbles hit my tongue.

I don't like balls in my mouth.
