When making your schedule, do you usually try to make your classes in the morning or afternoon?
I usually prefer sleeping in and go for all evening, but I'm thinking of switching it up this next semester. My reason being once winter ends and the weather gets nice, I won't want to be stuck in class all afternoon.
I'd prefer classes in the morning from like 9:00am onwards, but of course some stupid courses like calculus seem to be at 8:00am everywhere as if it's a law or something. Currently, my schedule is very afternoon based with some classes going till 10pm, but next semester I'm usually off at 1 or 2pm in the afternoon.

I prefer the 11:30 - 2:20 as I like sleeping and the classes are usually smaller than the 8:30 - 11:20 classes.
To elaborate I always took classes from 8 AM - 12, rarely did I take classes from 12 - 5 or later. The reason being, sports are often scheduled during this time. Every night there's a game from 7 pm onward. Even if there weren't any games from 12 - 5 pm those are odd hours to be taking classes IMO. That's sleep time, and free time
I don't understand what's so bad about 8 AM classes. Most of the typical "college kids" enjoy sleeping in until extraordinary times, such as noon or 1 pm. Me, I'm up at 6 or 7 AM every morning, and 8 or 9 every weekend.
8 AM classes were the best, mainly because no sports team would schedule games from 8 to noon. So those are the best times to take classes. When you take classes at night you put yourself in serious danger of missing sports. I missed Daniel Cabrera's near no hitter to the Arizona Diamondbacks because of a night-time C++ class. Night classes are the worst.
Monday: 3 classes, 11:45AM - 5:30PM <-- always skip the first one so start at 1:15PM
Wednesday: 3 classes 11:45AM - 4:00PM <--skip the first one so 1:15PM
Thursday: 2 classes 2:45PM-8:15PM <-- the worst... 2x 3 hour classes
I have morning classes minus one night class. Mostly because it fits in better with my schedule, and if I'm trying to get a job or something I have the entire afternoon open.
I'm currenly going to classes in the morning and working in the afternoon, which gives me no time to nap.
I PREFER school in the afternoon, so i can just sleep in instead.
I like morning classes, even though I hate waking up so early. Rather just get them all over with and enjoy the rest of the day. I hate having gaps between classes too, especially those 2 hour or 3 hour breaks.
I'll also throw in this caveat, I absolutely hate when you have just one class on a given day. It's nice when you live on campus, but it's such a drag when living off-campus to head down for one 45 minute lecture.
Last year I had mine so I had all my classes Tuesday/Thursday (8 hour days), and my Labs Wed, the payoff is that I had 4 day weekends every week. Pretty solid.
For now though, I've made it T/R is lab days, and MWF, I have classes from 8 onwards. It makes easier I feel.
I hate morning classes. I have an 8am class on tues and thurs and it is so hard getting up for it. If I could just go to bed earlier instead of playing nhl 10 club games I'd be set.
All my other classes are from 11am-315pm. Enough time to sleep in and still have stuff to do after.
