The Mark Giordano appreciation thread

I think its time we give Gio the credit for his play so far this year. Many fans underrate what he brings to the team and thats his speed and puck moving ability. He sees the ice well and perhaps its cause hes been paired with Bouwmeester, but he seems to more responsible this year defensively and know when to pinch at the right times.

Hes been nothing short of great so far for us this year and for the most part since resigning with us last season. If he played a full season last year he would have easily hit 30pts, and dont forget at his caphit hes a bargain. I hope he stays healthy and keeps up the good work! Already 5pts on the year

a lot of people were ready to pass him over and jump on the Stralman bandwagon, but Sutter made the right choice.

Gio showed us he is reliable on the top 4. However with Sarich back Gio has been a great 5th defenseman. I love when he dangles people!

Gio has been awesome. I wasn't too big of a fan when he was brought back to the Flames, but he has proven my doubts to be wrong.

Too bad he sucks in NHL 10.

People wrote off Gio when he came back from Russia as a 5/6 guy. Technically he could be considered a top 4 now with the minutes that he plays heh.

i think the only reason he has top 4 minutes is because sarich is still hurting... to think Sarich will stay lower than 17 minutes a game is crazy... by seasons end his avg will be higher than Giordano's

Save your whining for someone who gives a damn (a.k.a. another board).

Sure he is.

It had nothing to do with Smid wearing a visor or anything though, hey?
