There's plenty of hotels in Monroeville. It's 13 miles from the city and a straight shot. Just gotta handle Pittsburgh traffic, but it's not a bad commute.

Check out Greentree as well. Just barely across the river from downtown.

There's also a serious hotel shortage in the downtown area. Like, 3 are going up right now.

With how few teams make it to the playoffs in baseball anyways........would anyone really be surprised if the Pirates didn't make it for another 10 or 15 seasons?
You have to be more than just good, and they seem far from it.

10 or 15 seasons? You're quite the optimist aren't you? Let's try for a winning season in the next 10 or 15 seasons first.

There are currently 3 movies filming in Pittsburgh, and the hotels are booked with cast & crew.

What kind of crowds do those usually draw? Also, do more people show up to the PPV events than the weekly ones?

I read somewhere that they are supposedly about 75% to a sell out as of late last week so that is probably 12,000 or so maybe as much as 15,000
I doubt the regular shows draw those kinds of crowds

But what are the 3 movies?
"The Next Three Days" with Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde (yum)
"Love and Other Drugs" with Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Hank Azaria, Judy Greer
"Unstoppable" with Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson (though they have only been filming in little towns around PA and OH so far)
