Pens at Canes, we all know what happened last time these teams met at the RBC center, so let's get some revenge. Nothing would get this team a bigger boost than beating the Pens at home. So git 'er dun.

Canes coach Paul Maurice said Pitkanen, who still has soreness in his knee, will not play against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Mo, you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Good test to see how the offseason changes will help this year. We didn't see much against Boston, but there was a lot going against the Canes there. Hope we see much more tonight, especially from the 4th line that we need to disrupt things. After listening to talk about how the Canes PK has worn down the top lines the past few games, I think we need to see more of Yelle & Kostopoulos there as well.

I still think we need to see Rodney called up to help with the PP and movement of the puck, but it's clear that won't be tonight.

Do you hear that Fezzik? That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when the six-fingered man killed my father. The Man in Black makes it now.

My prediction: Pitkanen will sit out the next game with a hangnail.

Day to Day with a bruised ovary.

But in all seriousness, hurry up Pitkanen. For an operation that was deemed not nearly as severe as what Brind'Amour went through last preseason, it certainly is taking a long time to heal.

I think Joni was brought back too soon ... and may have delayed his recovery. You can't rush knees ... (I know from family experience.)

I, unfortunately, I feel like that the team will come out hungry against the champions/the team that swept them in the playoffs and play a good game tonight. I say unfortunately because that opens me up for a let down.

HMPH. I don't get Versus. Guess I'll be missing it.

And by missing it I mean I'll be watching it. But I don't get Versus, so how can I watch it? If only I knew about those links and programs I know about.

I really wish we had Joni back. I think Jay has been fine, but we really stink on the power play. Even more so on the Progress Energy Power Play. I think that naming it was bad mojo...

That said, I'm expecting a big night from the boys tonight. I can't imagine any reasons why we wouldn't come out firing on all cylinders right from the get go...

It's not on Versus, so you're in luck.

you know, at first, being in TX meant NO CANES GAMES and that sucked.....then i found the awesome sports package from direct tv and now i watch every single one that is on TV (that isnt blacked out of course). and tons of other games too....for the same price as center ice, but spread out over 12 months and not just 4 months...makes it a lot more feasable for me. but once again, I cant wait to watch this game....honestly, no high hopes for this one, the Pens are just on fire and we are, well.....us lol. But every team has a chance to win every night so we will see. I know the team CAN win, if they play their game right. They just havent really found it quite yet, esp without Pitkanen and Cole.

LETS GO CANES! 35 MORE MINS!

According to NHL Game Centre it's on something, either Versus or NBC, or MSG, or somewhere. I don't live anywhere where it will be on local TV, what's up with that?
