Handzus vs. Hartnell

Don't let the title mislead. The isn't a skills comparison thread. I want you to think back to all the good memories of Zues we had. I guess I mean when he was in his "Flyers prime", and tell me who you would rather have if you had to pick Zeus at that time or Hartnell.

Try to do it strictly for a love of the game standpoint though. Like comparing how many pooints each had vs the other isnt what I'm getting at. I mean from a fan kind of point.

I personally missing chanting Zeuuuuuuuuuus! Hartnel reminds me of him with the hair and I think a little bit of their style so thats why I brought this up. I'll never forget being at this one...

Handzus. His long locks were more magical than Hartnells.

But other than that, he played a better defensive game and didnt take stupid penalties. And the Zeus chant was always a plus.

Hartnell is one of my favorites, but Handzus was my favorite player when he was on the Flyers. I miss him, he was awesome in every way.

Ill tell you i sure miss that goal horn for some reason. It just fit and hearing it reminds me of big goals scored (primeau gagne etc.). Anyway i'd have to say Hartnell.

As fun as the Zues chant was, you've gotta love the Fartsmell jersey that some Pens fan wears.

And the article that goes with it if anybody hasn't read it.

Zeus is one of my top-3 favorite Flyers and honestly, he made a line with Recchi and Leclair look half-decent defensively for an entire year.

Definitely missed Zeus. Imagine if we still had him for our 3rd centerman over the years at a affordable contract? He probably would have kept progressing.

Is that picture of Hartnell photoshopped?

Incredibly surprised at the responses in this thread.

In a vacuum Hartnell is a better player. With the current constitution of our team, Hartnell is a no-brainer.

i just never took to zeuss. hed done really well in pheonix and i had high hopes for him so i always was waiting for him to impress me and he didnt. when you said in his flyers prime i was like huh ? cuz for me it never came. then he went from average to sucktastic an by the time he left i couldnt stand him.

hartnell was almost the opposite. i really didnt understand the move(whole other thread there) he was a grinder making all that money and hed had a bad rep in the room in nashville i was all geared up to say scrub and move on to bashing him out of town and he totally changed my mind. hes constantly improving works hard and is now a legit top 6 winger. im lovin birddog right now.

so for me its not even a comparison.

Wow at the hair being genuine, well done Hartnell, you're a couple steps away from being a full fledged barbarian. (someone should put his head on conan's or he-man's)

I'm quite surprised there are Flyer fans in here who don't like Hartnell. We're pretty lucky to have a 60pt guy, one of the few power forwards in his pay bracket that are earning their keep, and infuriating every single team out there. That and...common look at that mane he's got going on, that takes a true man to sport something like that.
