After the loss in Edmonton, the Habs were talking about what a shame it was to drop three straight in western Canada after getting off to a 2-0 start. What they didn't say was that they were extremely lucky to win those first two games in Toronto and Buffalo. Price played a role in both those wins, true, but the real star of both games was Lady Luck.
Old men such as him should be in a hospice somewhere and not given a job to publish some jibberish. He's in the same Senile league as Don Cherry, wich isnt saying much...
Me not suprised by that Todd idiot......I guess some fans like him but not this one.
I don't buy that paper or visit his site just cause I don't want to support anything to do with him. I did'nt even click on the link for that reason. He's all about trashing some players and most time I feel he is more of a leafs fan!
He knows he is hated by the Habs management, and is just trying to stir up **** as usual. He is actually the most hated journalist in the Habs organization !
Somehow he feels better when he attacks the players he knows the Habs management appreciates the most. He's just a specialist at expressing jaded or scornful skepticism.
What happened to the Price I remember from that stirring shootout win over the U.S. at the world juniors? I seem to recall a standup, spit-in-your-eye, challenge-the-shooter goalie who stared down the best American snipers again and again.
Funny... Price pretty much let every shot in until her went down and stopped Mueller's five hole attempt.
I don't think Price has been anywhere near great, but his constant bashing of him is getting a little ridiculous. This is 2 articles in like a week now.
What a stupid article. Praising Khabibulin's brilliant performance but when it comes to Price's? Oh it must be luck. Can you make your motive anymore clear Mr. Todd?
We were lucky to win those two games BECAUSE of Price. Price was stellar in the first two games and was the only reason we won those games.
In the three straight losses in Western Canada, he hasn't been horrible. The Vancouver game, that's something else though.. but he was hung out to dry. By no stretch of the imagination has he been horrible this year.
What are you talking about?
He gave Price his props..
And yeah we were extremely lucky to win those two games.
Im sorry but i have to question your reasoning here ! Why do you always post the opposite of what OP's post, is it just for attention or are you really a devils advocate?
It makes no sense that Price won the first 2 games for us yet it was luck ! Sit back and think about it for one second.
The main issue here is not so much what Todd thinks of Price, cause let's face it, Todd is actually the reason why I still tell those Gazette Telemarketers, sorry, lemme know when Todd goes back in retirement ...
The truth is that most NHL players had heard allot of buzz about Carey Price, ask Pierre Mcguire, he'll tell you the kid came in the league and players were walking up to him asking him if this guy was the real deal
Ask Pierre how most NHL players prepare against Price nowadays ...
Todd is right in his evaluation on allot of this stuff, but since he's such a POS it's hard to even take his latest ramble bamble seriously
BTW
CLASSIC TODD
I'll trash someone to bits ...
but of course right after that I'll talk about charity ...
at this point it's known as EL-TODD

Reason: Merge
This is exactly the same type article he wrote for Saturday's paper - there was no paper on Sunday so this is consecutive columns about the same topic. Does he not have anything else to write about? He didn't want to give props to A-Rod for his ninth inning heroics
But seriously - what's up here? He again uses his Hamilton experiment as the solution to what ails Price - maybe, just maybe, what ails Price are constant attacks on his character like this guy makes. The Comrie shot was a good shot, Price was in good position at the top of the blue paint - he challenged the shooter, Comrie simply made a great shot. The second and third goal were stoppable, but they were just as much a defensive lapse than anything else.
Todd - get over it! Price is not Roy - in fact he's probably his polar opposite.
I keep wondering why people keep bringing back the US-Canada shootout to explain how Price is such a great goalie....I mean giving up 4 goals in 7 attemps is not exactly 0 on 20.....Thanks to Toews and Frazee, 'cause we wouldn't be hearing about how great that shootout was for Price.....
It's probably preferable to talk about his Calder cup run......In all his exploits, THIS have to be his greatest achievement by far. While he was good during the World Juniors, I remember how people were ridiculizing Pogge about his own success 'cause he had those great D's in front of him.....well Carey had the return of 5 of the 7 d-men that played in 2006 (which means more experienced) and instead of Barker and Pokulok, they had Alzner and Franson instead.
So to me, people should bring his Calder Cup run a whole lot more than the World Juniors....I understand though that it's by adding everything up that it makes it more spectacular. But to me, he fails in the shootout, and I'd be just as impressed by his Calder Cup run with or without the Worlds....

He is such an *******. He hates hockey, knows pretty much nothing about it, but loves making personal vicious attacks on individuals, and also spreading misery and unhappiness as far and wide as he can. Karmically, he owes. I hope he pays.
To insult, humiliate on a public forum ( blog, newspaper etc ... ) something or someone because you think you are special, then anticipating flack because deep inside you know you're full of ****, end it with an article on a struggling charity or kid with cancer to garner sympathy.
Ex : Dude I'm sorry Jack Todd called you a failure and a donkey rapist ... But ... did you read the piece he wrote on Sun Youth baseball for kids ?
What an awesome guy Jack Todd is !
Pretty true, but every single game every played, every cup ever won comes dow to luck. Luck is almost 50% of the game. Sure they played good, but if both teams play good, then its going to have to come down to whoever gets the lucky bounces.
EDIT: I just read the whole article. Honestly?
