Frank "Frosty" Peters

Hoping there are some others like me who have way too much time on their hands - or who know about some good resources about the early history of hockey in the USA. Came across this player as one of the early New York Rangers and was trying to find out more about him. It said he was from Rouses Point, NY (along the NY/Quebec border) but not much else.

In doing a google search, I also came across a Frosty Peters who played QB for the Brooklyn Dodgers football team during the 1931 season. While I doubt it is the same person, was wondering if anyone knew more about him?

According to the website hockeydb.com , Frank Peters played for the Rangers during th '30-'31 season.

Took under five minutes. Nope, not the same guy.

Different names, birthdates, birthplaces. Both about the same size though.

Should have known to check the football sites. Do you know anything else about the hockey playing Frosty? I am trying to find out more about the early hockey playing Americans - though I'd suspect from where he grew up he played the bulk of his youth hockey in Canada. Still, it is interesting that he's the first "New Yorker" to play for the Rangers.
