Whatever Happened to Justin Pogge?

K, he Starts out in Prince George for two years, Traded to Calgary Hitmen and played awesome and also played amazing in the world Juniors, Played with the Toronto Marlies wasn't bad, two years later he had his first call up and then people called him overrated and such (I think hes good but thinks about hes good) and started to suck and went off the ********* season of his hockey career. Then he resigns and gets Traded to Anaheim, doesn't make the team and hes not in the AHL or ECHL.

he's on the Ducks' echl club for now. they dont have an ahl affiliate right now so he's there until a goalie spot at someone's ahl club opens up by injury or something.

Nothing really happened. Guys like Don Cherry who wanted Pogge to come out of the WJC's to start for the Leafs, got a rude-awakening that World Junior Gold does not equate to NHL stardom.

Justin Pogge never was, so he can't really be a has-been.

Clock hasn't run out on him, he might actually prove to be decent in Anaheim at some point, but right now, I wouldn't bet on it.

Once you play in Prince George playing anywhere else just seems so... meaningless. Just ask Eric Brewer. He hasn't been injured, he's actually gone back to school at the University of Northern BC. Pogge is just waiting for the ECHL or AHL to expand to Northern BC.

What happens is that the air in every other city in the world (except I guess Quesnel) is so comparatively fresh, it's literally unbelievable to the newly-escaped. They get sort of light-headed.

He played behind ridiculously good defensive teams his entire junior career. Not to say Pogge wasn't a good goalie for Calgary or Team Canada, but he was very sheltered.

After watching him with the Hitman I'm totally shocked he's not in the NHL 4 years later..he was awesome and unstoppable(in a good way). I blame the the stupid Leafs for ruining him.

I dunno, I think guys like Tim Thomas, Cam Ward, Martin Brodeur etc. would give him a run for his money.

More like, being the goalie for Team Canada doesn't equate to NHL Stardom.
