Afer a dismal 2008-09 season which saw the club finish at the bottom of the AHL standings, it is no surprise than several changes were made to the Springfield Falcons roster.

A good, competitive season for the Falcons would be nice to see after last year.
It is also good for development of prospects to have some succeses.

3 of top 6 scorers gone could be tough to replace however ... others will have to step up.

Should hopefully be a good year for the Falcons. Not a whole lot to get excited about up front as far as future NHLers go, but there are some promising defensemen. Here's hoping for a better year than last year!

Thanks for that, I was hoping for some kind of AHL wrap up just like this and it was a perfect little sum up of how the Falcons look.

Trukhno is one guy I'd like to see step it up, and in a big way, this season. I think he has tha abilities to do it, I guess we'll see as the season progresses. I still think he can end up being a 2nd/3rd liner down the road.

I have high hopes for two Falcon players:

Taylor Chorney

Alex Plante

Both of these have high draft pedigree and have shown a recent return to form. I will be watching their development closely this year.
