Look at our pp without Kovalev. It's gonna be last in the league. And dam is our team boring or what without him.

The injury to our powerplay quarterback and top d-man might have something to do with it.

Markov being injured has nothing to do with it or anything.

Kovalev's biggest help was to gain zone cuz Dmen don't play him high. As a trigger man he's replacable by Gio and Cammaleri.

Last game with Markov playing our PP went 2/4. Any coincidence?

Kovalev's presence on the pp will be sorely missed, as will Markov's.

Meh...If our PP suffers its pretty much more because Markov isn't here. He was 2nd in the NHL last season with 32 powerplay assist. Andrei's creativity is sick.
We will do fine, we will adjust somehow.

I really hope that all of the predictable "I told you so" about Kovalev or whatever departed players, which are going to happen multiple times weekly this year, all get merged or stickied into one super-irritating thread that's easy to avoid.

OP has a valid point, we have a hard time having puck control in the offensive zone on PP without Kovy on the right wing. Nevertheless, the exaggeration and poor communicating skills made this thread ****ty.

Kovalev did squat for us last year when Schneider wasn't acquired yet.
Last night, we went 2/4 on the PP. Guys just have to shake their rust off, we're going to be all right. Maybe not as lethal as we'd be with Markov, but decent.

Our PP sucked big time last season before Schneider arrived. At Christmas it was one of the worst in the league. Kovalev wasn't doing it all alone.

Talk about overrating. And as mentioned missing Markov is more of a problem then Kovy.

Yeah shame on 5 completely new players trying to be cohesive on a PP after 2 games.

Ottawa 0-4 on the pp tonight. Kovalev 0 shots on goal the whole game. I can't comment on if the Senators were boring in their loss though ...
