If yes please stay with me.
Here's my idea, I would like to put together a letter that we would send in mass to CBC. It's something we would have to be realistic about, considering the early game has many more viewers than the later game. Meaning Hughson will never be that exclusive 2nd game guy again. However, I believe, if we can put together enough messages (stating exactly what we would like in a respectful manner) we might get a couple extra Hughson games, which IMO is worth it.
I would like to draft out a letter that is worthy of being sent in, then once completed we could all (or who ever would like to participate) send it in. As well we could post a similar message on CDC and hopefully that will be enough to get CBC's attention.
Here's the draft I just whipped up, please help me edit this and improve it.
Quote:
Dear CBC,
Jim Hughson was the Vancouver Canucks main play-by-play commentator on our local television station for nearly a decade. He quickly became ‘the voice’ of the Canucks (it only helped that he called radio games after 94 for Vancouver including several games in the 82 finals). He grew up in the lower mainland area and is often seen around the area. He loves it here and we love him. 2 years ago he got switched to the early games for CBC, and while yes. This is more viewed game, I don’t think Hughson’s many, many years here in Vancouver should count for nothing. He does not hold ties to Edmonton or Calgary, only the Canucks. It would be the right thing to do by allowing him to do the late game when ever the Canucks play in Hockey Night in Canada.

NOTE: I do expect there are a fair number of you that feel "They'll never listen". That is very understandable, and perhaps you are right but we're working under the assumption they will. So I would kindly ask that if have any doubts about this plan you refrain from posting it in here. That would be very much appreciated.
