Despite some regulars missing for both teams it was still a pretty entertaining game... The Habs still can't win when Markov isn't in the line up though....

I think it will take that long for the team to become perfectly comfortable with Martin's system. I've noticed a lot of positive changes , but we still have along way to go.

Dear anyone coaching the Habs,

NEVER LET PLEKANEC SHOOT IN THE SHOOTOUT WHEN IT'S AN ACTUAL IMPORTANT GAME.

i know theres been a lot of talk about who should make the top 6. And honestly not only should Lats not make the top 6, i feel he shouldn"t start the season(which i know wont happen cuz francophones will have a ***** fit). The kid just as no fukcin talent. Id so rather Dago, Pacthes (if he's healthy) and SK make it b4 Lats. Call me a basher.. call me biased...call me wutever you want, i couldnt care less... the kid just doesnt have what it takes(only to RDS and CKAC he does).

Great puck support in our end that really crippled the Bs offence. We were able to get it out efficiently and quickly. We got back to our old habits in the third but all in due time.

Obyrne looks completely revamped. I almost forgot why he was given a contract. He reminded me tonight.

Gomez is beast. This is why I didn't mind the transaction when it happened. He's behaving like a 1st line center without registering a point. He needs linemates who can keep up and Lats simply can't.

Also solid games for Pleks, Sergei and Pyatt. Great intensity from those three.

All in all, we looked decent considering the players that played and who we were facing. If our support players can play like this and our main weapons producing, we're in for a real treat.

Oh yeah and Thomas looks real. It'll be an interesting division dog fight.

Sheed36 hit it on the head on Markov. Glad Cammer isn't too serious. I got tickets for next Thursday and want to see him in TO!

Wasn't Markov out of the lineup when we beat Pittsburgh the other night?

Pleks actually made a nice move and had Thomas beat....he just didn't finish what he meant to do.

Not even in Table hockey can you just have one type of player, and they are made of cardboard

some need longer sticks

Not sure how you can give a 6 for Carle tonight. He was used on PK, during overtime, won his battles, supported the offense and never put the team in trouble. His best game so far in preseason. Weber looked a little shaky in comparison.

As for Metropolit, I thought it was not his best game tonight. Pretty invisible and lost a couple of battles. I know he can do better than that.

I think once the players get used to the system (nice short quick passes to get up the neutral zone, D always active, etc) the goals will come.

wasnt too great of a game. lots of missing pieces of both sides.

Montreal still gets man handled by the bruins. I dont get why we have so little push-back.

I agree, you can see them slowly picking things up. The only worry I have is they reverted back to their old ways later in the game.

Solid games by Halak SK and Gomez. O'Byrne played well too.

Still not seeing much from Moen. He seems too slow out there

I honestly think there is something wrong with him. He just seems really cautious out there, which is nothing like I remember seeing him play in the past.

Metropolit was always deep in the Bruins zone battling in the corner and winning his battles. He played his role marvelously. I don't expect less or more from him. He was one player that I don't normally remark much last season, but tonight, he was one of our most solid player. I just checked on NHL.com and he did 3 takeaways tonight with no giveaways!

Carle did nothing. He was getting pushed out of the puck and couldn't make a good pass to his teammates most of the time. It seems like he had little confidence in this game. He remind me of a newly arrived Gorges, before he got his game together in the last part of the season.

All I'll remember about tonight is when we saw the potential that O'Byrne has.
