Are the Sens allowed to dress 21 players?

The standard roster is 18+2 goalies. You posted 19 (12 forwads and 7 defensemen)+2 goalies, so either someone is sitting or you're allowed to dress more players in the preseason.

If any of you have played Eastside Hockey Manager, they allow you to dress up to 22 players (12 forwards + 8 defensemen) during the pre-season but once the season starts, you can only dress 20 players. EHM is always pretty accurate with NHL rules/regulations. But who knows...

Hey, do you guys think that there might be an online stream like yesterday's Edmonton-NY Islanders game? They had like a camera man, but it wasn't a TV broadcast, and the radio was used as a play-by-play. And during breaks and intermissions, the camera wouldjust pan to the centre, and you'd just feel like you were at the game, haha.

I never heard that i would be shocked if he did not get in the last pre-season .Who knows they may keep him for a couple reg eason games before sending him back.

I hope not. What Cowen needs is a taste of the NHL in its condensed pre-season form so that he knows what to work towards. I'd rather not see the team risk losing actual NHL games by putting him in the lineup - he's not ready yet either because of rust, or his development path, or both.

I think they wanted to keep him around as long as possible for his rehab, the environment, the work habits and the fact that the game tonight is close to his hometown.

From TSN...

Quote:
Alexei Kovalev will play on a line with Jason Spezza for the first time tonight in Regina versus Tampa. - TSN
And the Sun says Carkner is not playing tonight, so he can be removed from the lineup and that makes 20.

Personally I think that, inevitably perhaps, Kovalev will end up playing with Alfie and Spezza.

Just a strange feeling I have.
