Poll : The best journalists/analysts around the Habs (#2)

Dany Dubé won the first poll easily. Who's next?

I decided to limit the choices to the French medias and to Montreal based journalists. Also, any analyst, commentator, journalist, columnist, etc. can be included in the poll.

1- Dany Dubé
2- ???

Potential add (tell me if I forget any) :

François Gagnon, Bertrand Raymond, Guy D'Aoust, René Pothier, Benoît Brunet, Jacques Demers, Michel Bergeron, Réjean Tremblay, Michel Villeneuve, Luc Gélinas, Alain "Le Baron" Chantelois, Jean Pagé, Paul Rivard, Jean Perron, J-C Lajoie, Richard Labbé, Dave Morissette, Pierre Durocher, Michel Beaudry, Martin Lemay, Ron Fournier, Stéphan Lebeau, Marc Bureau, Éric Hoziel, Pierre Rinfret, Gabriel Grégoire, Tony Marinaro, Gaston Therrien, Normand Flynn, Alain Crête, Jérémy Filosa, Éric Fichaud, Gérard Gagnon

Also you should take out people with the lowest amount of vote...

You should add Francois Gagnon... He's actually decent.

Journalists worth being on that list:
Dany Dubé is by far the no.1 one. Great use of the language too. He is the kind of journalist/analyst we need. Others, mostly at CKAC, are barely able to make a sentence.
Mathias Brunet
Marc DeFoy
Marc Antoine Godin
Jean-François Bégin

Their job is only to describe the game:
Pierre Houde, Martin McGuire

clowns:
Yvon Pedneault
Renaud Lavoie
P.J. Stock
Pat Burns
Michel Langevin
Enrico Ciccone
Réjean Tremblay (turned out as a clown recently)
Joël Bouchard
... + other CKAC, V, RDS clowns

Red for emphasis.

Not true, he's reporting for Corrussport.

add Bertrand Rawmond, just for experience' sake.
Or François Gagnon, who doesn't follow the herd.
Or Mitch Melnyck.

Pedenault actually does a good job at CKAC... He says weird things when it comes to the Habs, but when he talks about the NHL as a whole and doesnt act biased he's not too bad,

The poll would be more fun if it was about the top 10 media clowns.

Dubé and MacGuire are one and two in my book. It's pleasure listening to them.

Add Grabriel Grégoire ...

McGuire would be 3rd, but he's more of a PBP guy and doesnt do analysis as much. Hartley meh, Ron, annoying at best, Burns is good.

It's a toss between Martin Mc and Mat Brunet.

I'll go for Martin Mcguire.

True. He makes RDS look better.

Thanks H10H, I still don't know how to quote something when I'm editing my post.

The list contains too many figures who aren't journalists to begin with. However, if I have to pick from the listed options other than other, then my choice is Joel Bouchard.

He's RDS hockey equivalent of Pierre Vercheval for football.

Please explain to me which of his actions made you consider Pat Burns as a "clown" - I'm highly interested.

1) Marc Defoy is much closer to the clown category

2)Pierre Houde and Martin Mcguire's job is to comment on everything hockey related and describe the game. Listen to post game shows on RDS with Pierre Houde and every day @ CKAC with Martin Mcguire. They give a clear and accurrate insight of what they see on/off ice basing it on facts. They're both great IMO.

3) Yvon Pednault is one of the most credible figures in the Montreal media. He looks bad when he's on CKAC with Michel Villeneuve or @ 110%, but most of the time he's a great analyst and he's one of the few that isn't biased because he's a real pro.

4) How the hell is Pat Burns a clown. He's so knowledgeable, I wake up to him on sport du lit every day and he's awesome. He knows a lot about the game obviously, knows a lot about the players and is an awesome story teller.

Edit: Joel Bouchard comes off as a cocky MF, but he sure knows how to analyse a play. I'm still wondering WTF is Benoit Brunet doing out there when they have a much better color guy in Joel Bouchard.

That's just my opinion.

That's probably how the poll is gonna end. At some point, I expect just a few guys left on the list, like Tremblay, Le Baron, JC Lajoie, Marc Bureau, etc...
