Screw Kessel if he wants to go and play with another team so be it.
We don't need his kind of me first, I am better then you and I deserve alot of money attitude. The guy can't stay healthy for an entire season. I say take the offer sheet or trade him to a basement team and let him suffer on a non-playoff team. I am sick and tired of you Phil, bad luck wherever you go.
Phil Kessel has made it clear that he doesn't intend to negotiate any longer with the Bruins, his Toronto-based agent in recent days informing the Boston front office that the right winger's priority instead is to sign a free-agent offer sheet with one of the league's 29 other teams.....
''That's an agent thing,'' he said, attempting to distance himself from the talks.
Sounds like Burke is telling the agent to put the screws to Chiarelli too. This is all just part of the game to force this deal. Burke must regret being so vocal against offer sheets - he will end up looking like Rick Pitino when this is over. "I meant it when I said it."
Meet the new Phil Kessel, same as the old Jason Allison.
It certainly appears he's played his last game in Black and Gold. Multi player deal, both going and coming, on the horizon? I hate trade threads but DKH threw one out that mesmerized me. Kessel and Savard for Kovalchuk and a high pick. Risky?
Any way we can trade him to the Islanders ? I'd love to see him go from playing for one of the better teams in the league to playing for the worst. Either there or Colorado. On the other hand, it could be that his agent realizes that there's no interest in him and is trying to drive the price up.
I hate this thing where he can tell people, "that's not true" blah, blah, blah, yet he refuses to say where his asking price is...he's been offered contracts similar to Krejci's and I believe there were a few sources that said he got offered a contract at 4 mil/season...what's the point of saying things like he's willing to give the Bruins a "hometown discount" when he doesn't even want to give away the slightest smidgen of information about what his actual asking price is.
I'm ready for it to be done...someone throw an offer sheet at him, or make a trade Chia...I can't see how anyone wants this to actually go on any longer.

All speculation, no one knows what was offered to Kessel. The teller will be what he signs for on a new contract, though if it's via offersheet you can be sure it was inflated from his original asking price.
Wonder what kind of discount Chia would have gotten back before Kessel lost interest in the offseason game.

we'll see.
wait until someone tells him he needs to learn the metric system. That may put a whole new twist on things.
How? What's changed? The only thing that has changed as far as I can see is people are more pissed off...Chiarelli can still match offer sheets all day long, or he makes a trade...hmmm, doesn't seem any different than yesterday, the day before, the week before, the month before....
Oh wait, this is Kaoz...I-worship-Phil-the-Thrill-Kaoz.

Kessel's agent, Wade Arnott, when contacted by the Globe earlier this week about his side's current negotiating stance, claimed the change in tactics wasn't true.
So is it true or is it not true? Was it not true 'earlier this week' but it is now?

That's all speculation, too...Chia may very well have offered Phil multiple contracts early on, that he rejected, and then chose to look into what his market value would be as time went on (what I think happened). I think it's unfair to call it the "offseason game" when it's very well possible Kessel could be just as responsible for this dilemma as is Chia.

Is this the same Kaoz who said that if Kessel was looking $5+ million, that he could find some other team to pay him? I'm pretty sure that's the same guy.
To me, some of his comments are sort of an insult to Krejci- who I'd keep if given the choice between him and The Thrill.
Lets hope that Chia can be creative here, if he is forced into some wheeling and dealing for Kessel.
35-40 goals+, and speed to burn is a lot to give up.
Krejci is certainly a player on his way to being a 2 way stud center. He's top 4 on this team for me,behind Chara and Thomas and in line with a healthy Bergeron.Kessel is next.

Or I'm a realist. I don't think everyone worships the Bruins like we do and realize you need to pay talent to keep it.
I'm not the one pretending like I have the foggiest as to what Kessel was offered. No source has come out and said "Kessel was offered Krejci money, unless I missed it. Maybe you can help a bother out and backup what you wrote in your post with you know, actual proof.
No sense trying to villify the kid when no one knows the details. People around here were so happy when they thought the Bruins could screw him because "they had all the leverage". Guess that theory just took a flying leap out the window eh?
Piss poor asset management. Piss poor. Say goodbye to any type of decent return in a deal.
